Introducing Daylight Subscriptions

For more than a hundred years, electricity has been delivered through a centralized model. Utilities built large power plants, strung transmission lines across states, and sold power through a single monopoly channel. That model worked when demand was predictable and infrastructure could expand at the pace of population growth. Today it is breaking down.
Electricity prices are rising faster than inflation, putting pressure on households and businesses that depend on power for everything they do. Reliability is falling as grids strain under new demand and extreme weather events trigger outages. Blackouts are 10X more common than in 1980. Utilities are charging more for less, and the system no longer delivers on its most basic promise: affordable, dependable energy.
Daylight offers a better path forward. Our new Daylight Subscription gives households the power to step into a new energy system designed for stability, savings, and long-term security.
Power That Works For You
A Daylight Subscription gives households more affordable, more reliable power. You lock in energy rates that provide immediate savings compared to your local utility. Those rates remain predictable over time instead of climbing faster than inflation year after year.
Daylight subscribers get battery backup and solar panels with no upfront cost and white glove installation. Instead of relying on the utility for nearly all of their power, subscribers shift most of their usage to Daylight. Daylight owns and operates the equipment, which means subscribers never face the burden of maintenance or replacement. The warranty and operational risk stay with us, not with the customer. What households get is stable, low-cost power without the complexity of managing the technology themselves.
Better for you, better for the grid
Each solar and storage system is connected to the Daylight network, which uses batteries to stabilize local grids. When demand spikes or supply falters, our network provides capacity to keep the system balanced. This creates an additional revenue stream for Daylight, which allows us to keep energy rates lower for customers. The stronger the network gets, the more subscribers benefit.
A rewarding subscription
Subscribers aren’t just members. They’re active participants in building and growing the network. By sharing data from connected devices like thermostats and EVs, they help the network run more efficiently. By referring neighbors, they add more capacity and make their community more resilient.
In return, subscribers earn Sun Points which can be redeemed for gift cards, merchandise, or subscription credits. The more subscribers do, the more they earn, and the stronger the network becomes.
Energy abundance for the future
Traditional utilities gave households limited options. Costs rose and reliability declined. The Daylight Subscription creates a new kind of choice. It offers access to affordable, dependable power without the burden of managing it yourself.
Every subscriber contributes to a growing distributed network that delivers savings at the household level and adds capacity to the grid. It's a model built to scale, support communities, and work alongside existing infrastructure.
